I am enough... A Lenten Affirmation

Dear God,
I am enough.
That is my affirmation of today.
Today I affirm that I am enough
I am enough for you to keep calling on me
In fact I am going to make a list of all the things that I am enough for:
I am enough for you to keep calling on me
I am enough for Bethany and the youth
I am enough for Newark and all of New Jersey
I am enough for Paris as I do my best
I am enough for my parents and they love me
I am enough for my sister as she is proud of me
I am enough for Mount Aery as they miss me
I am enough for Bridgeport as it birthed me
I am enough for all of my relatives and Beyond
I am enough for Spelman and Yale because I have various degrees hanging proudly on the walls of my office.
I am enough for my friends as they trust me
I am enough for those who pray for me
I am enough for those who smile at me and hug me
I am enough for my hand to be held at the altar
I am enough for the podcast
I am enough for my own blog and social media
I am enough for my spouse who has yet to Journey with me
I am enough for my children even though they are not yet here
I am enough for them already
I am enough for today as I was enough for yesterday
I am enough for tomorrow regardless if I see it on this side of Heaven
I am enough for every sermon I will ever preach
I am enough for every word I shall speak
I mean that for every word I shall write
I am enough for every good thing that will come my way
I am enough for every trial I will face
I am enough in the sunshine and in the rain
I am enough even when my heart is broken
I am man enough even when I feel alone and lonely
I am enough even when I don't feel like it
I am enough even if someone dare fix their lips to say that I am not
I am enough because my ancestors lived
I am enough because Jesus loves me
I am enough because the elders sacrificed
I am enough because I love myself
I am enough because I say that I am enough
I am enough for me
But just as I am enough, I affirm that every single person no matter how young or old is also enough.
everyone is enough
May we each live into our enoughness
A Devo:
Each and every day we need to remind ourselves that we are enough.
We were created by the one who has more than enough.
A Prayer:
God I am thankful and grateful for my enoughness. Lord thank you for loving on me. Thank you for loving on me. Thank you for calling on me. Thank you, thank you! I am so very grateful that you have made me to be enough.
